The Leicestershire, Leicester and Rutland Violence Reduction Network has kindly made available a template policy around Trauma Informed Relationship and Behaviours. It seeks to inform, guide and support staff, parents/carers, and pupils to achieve behavioural aims through actively promoting positive behaviours by reflecting on ten key aspects of school practice. The policy supports current thinking for children experiencing trauma and moves away from zero tolerance and towards the child's actual need in context. Schools are free to adopt this policy or make variations.
